In the winter season you can not only lie in the comfort and warmth of our apartments, but also go to the slopes and ski to your heart’s content.

The Val d’Ega valley offers excellent conditions and pleasant facilities for skiing, snowboarding and ski mountaineering enthusiasts. You can use the Latemar ski resort with a local ski pass, or you can buy a ski pass for the whole Dolomiti Superski region if you want to discover other ski resorts in South Tyrol.

The Karersee Ski Area is just 15 minutes away. The toboggan runs at Obereggen, Laabalm and Liegalm invite you to go sledding with or without children. For cross-country skiing enthusiasts, there are more than 100 kilometres of carefully groomed trails with incredible views of the Eggental and the Dolomites. Deutschnofen, Lavazépass, Tesero, and Pellegrinopass. The Dolomites in South Tyrol will seduce you with their rustic mountain villages, bizarre rock formations and impressive gorges.

Obereggen Ski Centre

The Obereggen ski area has been voted one of the best ski areas in the Alps on several occasions, mainly because of its perfectly groomed slopes, cosy mountain huts with local specialities and snow parks that will captivate every snowboarder and freestyle enthusiast. Skiing in this area is especially enjoyed by families with children: parents can enjoy the sun-drenched slopes of all levels of difficulty that lead to the neighbouring Val di Fiemme, and children can play in the children’s park. Those who want to extend their day can enjoy night skiing, tobogganing or visit the night snow park.

Something for kids

Children are always welcome! Of course, Obereggen is great for little skiers too! For trying, learning and having fun in the snow, there is the ‘Brunoland’ children’s park, the Mini Club day centre for children and also the Children’s Snowpark.

Toboggan runways

The long toboggan run “Obereggen” starts at the Epircher-Laner Alm hut and runs 2.5 km all the way to Obereggen. The start of the run is reached by the “Ochsenweide” cable car. The height difference is 280 metres. The simple toboggan run “Absam”, 750 metres long, is accessible via a combined cable car and chairlift. Refreshments are available in the Absam Stube hut at the lower station or at the top of the Epircher-Laner Alm.

Bobsleigh track

On the Alpine Coaster you can enjoy more than 900 m of turns, jumps and a tour of the beautiful landscape, all on fast bobsleighs for two people. You can control the speed as you wish. That’s why there’s plenty to suit both pleasure seekers and native racers. In summer, the track can be reached by a pleasant walk from Obereggen.

Cross-country skiing centre Lavaze

80km of trails for cross-country skiers at an altitude of 1800m above sea level. From Passo Lavazè (Trentino-Val di Fiemme) to Passo Oclini and then to the Sanctuary of Pietralba, in the village of Nova Levante (Alto Adige). Available in the centre of Passo Lavazè: ample free parking, changing rooms with showers and lockers, ski hire with waxing and footprint service, cross-country ski school, For fun and to improve technique and balance there is the Skicrosspark, a 500m course with parabolic curves, descents with bumps and continuous changes of slope.

The Carezza Dolomites are one of the traditional Alpine ski areas: the first cable car was opened at the foot of the Rosengarten massif in 1950. Today, you will find a modern cable car replacing the original “Paolina” route, and 15 other lifts connecting 41 kilometres of slopes.

Experiential gastronomy

South Tyrol, located in the north of Italy, is rightly famous for its apples, wine and bacon. However, on closer inspection, South Tyrolean cuisine is much more varied. Rustic earthiness spiced with Mediterranean charm – these are the ingredients for an unmistakable taste. When eating and drinking, you will feel the typical Italian influences, whether with a pleasant aperitif, a stimulating starter, homemade pasta or the essential Caffè Macchiato at the end. Spinach dumplings and apple strudel are classics of South Tyrolean cuisine.

Merano Thermal Spa

At the turn of the last century, Merano was transformed into a world-famous spa area thanks to its special charm. Today, a century later, the town is once again at the forefront ofworld-famous spa and wellness areas. Glass facades allow views of the surrounding alpine scenery, while local produce forms the basis for healing treatments and thermal water containing radon is drawn from a depth of 2 km. Modern spa enthusiasts have taken the place of earlier visitors to these sites. Here you’ll find 25 swimming pools, 8 saunas and a steam room, gym or health centre.

Advent Markets Bolzano

South Tyrol’s largest Christmas market lights up Waltherplatz Square in Bolzano, but the historic old town with its festive decorations is also at its best during Advent and Christmas: the Rathausplatz with its Christmas craft show, the Silbergasse and Kornplatz with its charity market and the famous arcade with its traditional shops. And above it all, there is a charm that comes from the specific blend of Alpine earthiness and Mediterranean lightness. The Waltherplatz itself beckons with countless concerts and readings, as well as a wealth of Christmas gift ideas and culinary delights.
